In our department we provide care for patients with chronic and acute renal failure, sometimes as treatment prior to transplant surgery. This procedure consists in removing liquids and toxic substances from the body by means of special filters within an artificial kidney, through which blood flows and is later returned to the body.

It is very important for dialysis patients to know about their disease to keep control over it and recover to the greatest possible extent.

Located on the third floor, the area has 10 individual cubicles with a TV and a private bath, optimizing patient comfort and two more cubicles in the adult intensive care area. We have Fresenius equipment, the most advanced which can perform kidney function artificially.

Additionally, the water purification system is done through activated coal filters, ionic exchange resin and inverse osmosis, which meets the highest international quality standards.

Within our dialysis unit, you will get safe, adequate and pleasant care. You will get complete and specific information about the available services, as well as possible changes that may take place.

Also, complete information about your disease and treatment will be furnished, including your treating physician and the unit physician. All of your treatment will be carried out with absolute consideration, respect and full recognition of your individual and personal needs.
